Joan and Harry Kurtz

Harry and Joan Rollins Kurtz of Parkersburg will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 20, 2023.

They were married on Dec. 20, 1953, by Doctor Ray N. Shaffer at the First Evangelical United Brethren Church in Parkersburg.

Joan is the daughter of Clayton and Rachel Rollins. He is the son of George and Kermit Kurtz.

Joan retired in 1993 as the school nurse at Parkersburg South High School. Harry retired from G.E. Plastics in 1992 after 30 years of service.

They have two children, David (Anna) Kurtz and Kimberly (Dan) Carr. Their grandchildren are Robbie and Halley Rexroad and Kyle Hinton.
