Vernon Joseph Braham and Shirley Ann Grogan Braham recently celebrated their 60th anniversary with a family dinner at The Greenbrier Resort.
The couple were married Oct. 11, 1959, in an intimate ceremony at their pastor’s house in Parkersburg.
They have spent all their years together living and working in Parkersburg. He served in the Navy during the Korean war, and then spent most of his career at Corning Glass. She worked at a local farmer’s market and as a nurse later in life.
They have one son, Jeff.
They have two grandchildren, Whitney and Jacqueline, and two great-grandchildren, Cyrus and Darius.
They are known for their love of family and travel, having traveled to Canada for two weeks during the summer for fishing and relaxation with friends for the last 50 years, as well as traveling to Hawaii and Vegas.
They enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people.
