Tom and Carol Waldron

Tom and Carol Waldron of Mineral Wells will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 19 with a family dinner.

They were united in marriage Aug. 19, 1969, at Limestone United Methodist Church in Rockport by the late Rev. Amos McVey.

She is the daughter of the late Albert “Mac” and Betty Dent of Rockport. She was a staff accountant and bookkeeper for many years.

He is the son of the late Cecil Waldron and Anita Waldron of Rockport. He is a veteran of the United States Army Security Agency and served from 1969 to 1973. He was employed by DuPont for 30 years and retired as a supervisor in 2007.

They are the parents of four daughters, Crista (Daniel) Good of Elizabeth, Sharolyn Johnson of Parkersburg, Erin Traywick of Mineral Wells, and Sarah (Gary) Raines of Clayton, N.C.

They have three grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Adam Thompson of Elizabeth, and Gabriella Traywick of Mineral Wells.

They both enjoy spending time with family, particularly their grandchildren, which will increase by a granddaughter, Lily Diane Raines in September.
