Ohio man killed in accident on Interstate 77

PARKERSBURG – An Ohio man died after a single-vehicle accident that closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 77 near the Emerson Avenue exit to Parkersburg on Sunday afternoon. A 2025 Chevrolet Equinox traveling north on I-77 near the 180.2 mile marker ran off the left side of the road into the earth median before rolling, according to a release from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. Parkersburg narcotics search leads to three arrests

PARKERSBURG — Three people were arrested Friday after the Parkersburg Police Department’s SWAT team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Seventh Street, police said. The search was conducted as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to a release from Parkersburg Police Chief Matthew Board.
