Letter to the Editor: Government out of touch

In response to the person who felt the need to misquote my recent letter regarding the government coming for my AC, please note that the title of the letter is not mine, but one given it by the executive editor. Letter writers do not decide the title, the editor does. I never said they are coming for my AC, but that most could not afford to buy a new one to meet the new standards. There is a big difference. Biden is out of touch as to what the ordinary citizen needs or is able to do.
If the writer of the letter today has to know, I already have an efficient AC, a hybrid vehicle, and am very concerned about energy usage. However, if the reader would notice, I was writing for the many out there who cannot afford to upgrade and do not have a voice in what the government does. That is the problem.
The government is out of touch, as perhaps the letter writer is, too. Those in D.C. do not have the best in mind for the American people, no matter what your liberal news sources tell you. It is all about control. I do not subscribe to what you call radical media, unless The Parkersburg News falls in that category. I think it does not.
I detest what the government is trying to do. We were and can be again energy independent, but the leaders do not want that. There are ample fossil fuels in the earth to sustain America for a long time, but those who feel climate change is an existential threat are the ones out of touch. GOD is in charge and He does not need our help to protect the Earth. I choose to believe and trust God. If you do not trust God, that is your choice.
It would be great if solar and wind power provided all we need, but sadly that is not the case. The government would, if they could, make us change much of what we do every day. Even Biden himself has said he would put the fossil fuel companies out of business if he could. He will not be around to see the fruits of much of what he proposes. The real issue is; do you trust God or not? It is something to think about. What is your world view?
