Of all four seasons, Jean had a special love for the fall season. For over a decade, Jean and her late husband Olin, would host a fall picnic at their beloved farm on Rock Camp Rd. Family and friends from Missouri to Massachusetts would travel to WV for this annual event. Fall season generated the perfect weather for Jean and Olin to travel to Myrtle Beach for vacation. Their love for seafood, warm temperatures and the leaves' brilliant autumn colors would lure them to South Carolina. Regardless of the season, Jean loved to organize and plan all family gatherings.
