Two dead, two wounded in Grantsville shooting

GRANTSVILLE — A Pennsylvania man was arrested Saturday for the shooting murders of two people and wounding two others in an incident Saturday morning in Grantsville, West Virginia State Police said. Troopers C.A. Lane and L.E. Whitt were notified by the Calhoun County Emergency Operations Center at around 8:30 a.m. Saturday of a shooting off Pine Creek Road in Grantsville, according to a press release issued Sunday morning by Capt. Captain R. A. Maddy, deputy chief of staff of the State Police. Calhoun County Sheriff Graham Knight was the first officer on scene, arriving around 9 a.m., State Police said. Knight found Jodee Tribioli, 51, of Grantsville, and Carole Heagy, 71, of Mount Gretna, Pa., deceased from apparent gunshot wounds, State Police said. Steve Tribioli, 55, of Grantsville and Claude Heagy, 66, of Mount Gretna, also were shot, but were alive, State Police said. Knight turned the investigation over to Lane and Whitt upon their arrival. They identified Noah Richard Tribioli, 28, of Columbia, Pa., as a suspect. Noah Tribioli was Steve Tribioli’s son, State Police said. A statewide alert was issued by the State Police for Noah Tribioli and his vehicle. Noah Tribioli was located and apprehended by Senior Trooper L.L. Cox near Hico, in Fayette County, W.Va. Noah Tribioli was arrested and arraigned on two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of attempting to commit a felony. He was remanded to the Southern Regional Jail without bond. Steve Tribioli and Claude Heagy were taken to the Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville, then transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center General Division to undergo surgery for their injuries, State Police said. Steve Tribioli is in critical condition and Claude Heagy is listed as in stable condition, State Police said. The investigation is ongoing, State Police said. State Police Crime Scene responded to assist with processing the crime scene and process Noah Tribioli’s vehicle.
