Three dead in fire

Fourth gets out, but in critical condition

Investigators are at the scene of a fire on Ohio 339 in Watertown Township where three people were killed.

MARIETTA  – Three people were killed in a mobile home fire this morning in Watertown Township, authorities said.

Emergency crews were dispatched between 4 and 5 a.m to 14320 Ohio 339 where one person got out of the burning residence, but is in critical condition, said Lt. Bryan Lockhart of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Identities of the victims are unavailable. The property is owned by Barbara  Coulter, according to records on file with the Washington County Auditor’s Office.

A house and other buildings on the property were not damaged in the fire. Two vehicles were damaged.

The fire was out by about 7:30 a.m. and officials remained on the scene awaiting the arrival of investigators from the Ohio Fire Marshal.
