PROCTORVILLE — Marietta is one win away from the first perfect regular season in school history.

The Tigers defeated Fairland 61-48 Saturday to improve to 20-0 on the season, which is believed to be the most regular season wins in the program’s 51 years. Marietta wraps up regular season play Tuesday at home against Waterford.

Braxtyn Kroft contributed eight points and five boards for Marietta, which begins tournament play this Saturday against either Sheridan or Miami Trace in a sectional final scheduled for 2 p.m. at Sutton Gym.

Marietta shot 50% (21 for 42) from the floor and committed 11 turnovers.

Fairland, a Final Four team each of the past two seasons, was led by Addison Godby’s 16 points. Kamryn Barnitz added eight while Addyson Cornell chipped in seven. Bailey Russell and Ava Layne finished with six points apiece.
