Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

Tired:

Do you think Global Warming is caused in part by the dominant species on the planet Earth? Yes or No

If you answer no, then what is causing the overall rise in temperature?

I have supported my position. Name calling doesn't disprove that Tired. Try again.

Actually....try this, tell us your position on global warming and why you feel that way. Don't dodge, deflect or beg for mercy.

My apologizes to Monica Kopacz. But that doesn't excuse the fact that you cite opinion pieces and hope no one notices it.

You also hope no one notices that all those opinion articles you cite never actually prove man made global warming is false.

Kendall78

"That's really sad for your argument."

In what way? I think you are just frustrated that I was correct and shamed you.

If I am wrong, please show me where you did not cite an opinion piece but something scientific.

Kendall78

"up with ONE SINGLE provable fact that shows man causes global warming. PERIOD"

I reference this thread. Go and look.

Why don't you offer up any evidence to support what you believe in.

What do you believe in again?

Kendall78

"Citing others opinions or biased websites does not substitute for proof"

But that's what you do all the time. You did it tonight with that one IPCC lady.

Kendall78

See...no proof from Tired. He cowers behind ignorance.

He has dozens and dozens of pages of citations and evidence and he ignores it all.

He offers nothing to support his claims and tries to paint the opposition as being wrong when he has shown nothing.

Tired, please realize that if people do not give you information that meets your standards, that doesn't prove them wrong. It requires you to provide evidence that shows they are wrong. You have failed to do that time and again.

Kendall78

This is your last chance to answer the dozens of questions aimed at you.

Come on Tired, I have given dozens of citations and evidence that support my claims.

When are you ever going to stand up and put some facts to your claims?

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

"one example just one"

You have over 100 pages to go back and look at showing citations.

Keep in mind that you are trapping yourself here. You are basically saying that "no proof= you're wrong".

You have ever so rarely gave any proper citations. Does that mean you are wrong in your assertions then since you give no proof?

"Much more methane and water are in the air and they too can trap heat"

Are you implying that methane and H2O can trap heat better than CO2?

Or are you implying that methane and H2O are the gases that are causing the tempetaure to rise?

Come on now..be specific.

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

"Well, I continue to wait for the proof."

I do too except the difference between you and me is that I have offered proof and you ignore it and you offer no proof so I can't ever see what your point really is.

"Even the much debunked IPCC report"

Debunked how? Did something in all that debunking somehow make the Earth cool down?

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

"Don't say that CO2 is a trace greenhouse gas"

I never said that, you added the trace part to imply that it is a minor thing. I did say it is a greenhouse gas and have shown why it is. You ignored all that so there is little reason to repost it.

You are free to show why CO2 doesn't fit the criteria of a greenhouse gas. In fact, I insist that you do if you believe that.

"EVERY TIME you guys.."

That's a fallacy Tired. There are no absolutes.

I've made this extremely simple for you Tired. I'll offer up my citations (again since you failed to understand them in the past) when you offer up your citations that support your position.

So quit being the living embodiment of insanity by doing the same thing over and over again and try something new like doing proper research like any 1st year freshman would do.

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

"There has been NO PROOF offered here or elsewhere."

Actually that is untrue. More to the point, it is a flat out lie. You may go through the 190+ pages and find that a lot of proof have been offered but you simply do not accept it.

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

Good grief guys..this isn't twitter.

"The lack of...."

In all that blabber it seems like you are a proponent that the current warming trend is normal.

Is that true?

"Science...relies on skepticism and repeatable proof."

Yeah but you only offer skepticism and no proof. Therefor you are not discussing science at all.

"What are the HISTORIC NORMS you often refer to and how far back does the data go/??"

That didn't answer my question.

Are you implying that the last Ice Age was part of a historical tend? Is that why you mentioned it? If so..then why?

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

"What caused the last ice age and what caused the end of same"

That didn't answer my question.

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

So you are deflecting again?

Did you not understand the question? Ok...if you feel the temperature of the Earth is rising on average, then what is causing that rise in temperature?

Did you understand it that time? Do I need to break it down further for you or are you going to avoid it in another way? Please be honest if you are able.

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

And Tired, if one looks at your pasts posts, you do give support to the notion that global warming is happening.

I'm sorry that upsets you but when you leave out specifics in your vague claims, then you invite people to fill in the gaps. Those gaps tend to shoot your position out of the water.

You say that there haven't been any significant increase in temps on land for 17 years. That invites people to see how the oceanic temps are doing. They have been going up and cover more of the surface of the Earth than land.

By metioning 17 years (which is outdated so update your copy/paste), you invite people to compare these last 17 years with the previous 17. And of course the last 17 were hotter on average than the previous 17 and continues to show that the problem is still very real.

Posted 535 days ago.

Kendall78

After all the blather from Tired and he still has not proven his point yet.

Tired, is the average temp of the Earth higher or lower than 100 years ago?

If higher, what is causing it?

If lower, what is causing it?

Lastly, can you prove it or at least offer up citation to support your position?
