Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

When you said it was a FACT (emphasis in the original), I assumed you had some numerical way to measure the amount of racism and could cite some statistics that "the most racist people are black."

You've not supported your claim.

Your spotty examples fail to convince. That's like saying the Republicans in the 113th Congress are racist because not one black is among their 234 Republican members. It's ridiculous.

As for me, I suspect cultural bias is more polarizing than racial bias in this country.

There will never be a color blind society when one group seeks to find racism in every percieved slight

I didn't say black people are all racists let's start with that. Who is obsessed with color? Who has special organizations to promote their particular race Who has a caucus in congress based on race Who asks for special treatment (affirmative action) based on race Who has their own race based tv network, beauty pageants etc

"The truth is, the most racist people in America are black. I don't care HOW that sounds, its FACT."

I don't dispute that because I don't have any evidence. You seem confident that "the most racist people in America are black."

Would you care to provide your evidence?

That's the reason the rights derisive propaganda is affecting people ! The right thrives on constant conflict, outrage and fear !

Black culture has bought the Leftist lie that they are VICTIMS and they are NOT responsible for their actions. Raise thugs in single mother homes in the projects. Look at what is valued in that culture, look no further than your latest RAP artist.

Belief in God and knowing there will be an accounting of ones actions is a reason to not steal from your Gramps.

Not saying that is the ONLY reason but if you are missing the "values of yesterday" religion MUST be included.

"Think of the values that are conducive to a productive society."

Like faith?

Our nation is a lot like a business. The workers have to work together toward a common goal to make the company a success. If the workers just do whatever they want the company will fail.

If the people of this nation do not realize that we have a common goal, the we are the ones who are investors in the company that is our nation...we will fail.

Seems to me that as a nation we are losing sight of that. Sure we talk about it. But what are doing about it? Not much. Heck nothing really.

Sorry to be so long winded. Haven't posted in awhile. Getting it out of my system LOL!

I'll sum it up with a story of my Grandpa.

My Grandpa used to set up a produce stand in a little park just past the Hardmans store going south out of Ripley on Rt 21. He would leave a jar for people to put money in it and then come back latter in the day and collect the money from the produce he would sell.

In this day in age good luck on having any money in the jar at the end of the day. Good luck on having any produce left either.

I think that speaks volumes about the direction that our society is going.

What I said took place in the 60s.

For all of our advancement it seems that the order that older people seen in their lives was of a higher quality than today. I hope that makes sense.

I can honestly say that people today are less inclined to do what is right and just for all but focused on looking out for themselves and themselves only.

How can people who are like that hold together a nation such as ours?

To answer Moderations question I put it to you this way.

Think of the values that are conducive to a productive society.

Respect for the laws that govern us. Respect for those that are tasked with enforcing those laws. Willingness to work hard for what you want. Willingness to contribute to society in some way in a positive manner or at the very least live your life in a way that doesn't degrade the lives of others. You know don't be a criminal etc.

And thats why we are seeing these protests. Its because the tension between the cops and those they are out there to protect and serve has hit the breaking point.

Stillhere personally I don't see the president trying to fan the flames or make things worse by any direct intention of doing so. But he's not really doing anything at all to calm things down.

Its just more of his lukewarm leadership if you ask me.

And I agree while warranted the protests are attracting "professional" protesters in some respects. Something that the protesters are missing is the problem of the two parties involved being on edge.

I know this is going to sound racist to some but it seems more often than not when cops have to interact with black Americans the black Americans show little respect for the authority that the cop has and become unruly. Hence the heavy handed response when cops deal with black people.

I mean when I have been pulled over by State Troopers for speeding its yes sir no sir have a nice day sir.

I hate to say it but I think cops have gotten to the point where they expect trouble if a black person is involved.

"A breakdown in the basic order that keeps this nation together is what I am talking about." Myth- what is that basic order you mention?

To me this protest or protests were legitimate expressions but there was an element that crept in. NO not he looter criminals per say but the occupy types and the social justice types.
