Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

That's why u call the whole global warming crowd frauds, they read something from NASSA or NOAA in a headline and parrot it like truth. They hear Obama say it and don't relaize he's making it up again they parrot it.

Mod you claimed without reservation. That 2014 was the hottest ever, care to retract?

The claim made headlines around the world, but yesterday it emerged that GISS’s analysis – based on readings from more than 3,000 measuring stations worldwide – is subject to a margin of error. Nasa admits this means it is far from certain that 2014 set a record at all.

Yet the Nasa press release failed to mention this, as well as the fact that the alleged ‘record’ amounted to an increase over 2010, the previous ‘warmest year’, of just two-hundredths of a degree – or 0.02C. The margin of error is said by scientists to be approximately 0.1C – several times as much.

SO IF THE MARGIN OF ERROR IS .1C AND THE INCREASE IS .02C AND THE CERTAINTY IS 38% WHY ARE YOU POSTING THIS AS FACT?

NASA reports:

"The year 2014 ranks as Earth’s warmest since 1880, according to two separate analyses by NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists. The 10 warmest years in the instrumental record, with the exception of 1998, have now occurred since 2000. This trend continues a long-term warming of the planet, according to an analysis of surface temperature measurements by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS) in New York."

hmmmmmm 38%????? .02C? That's 62% that they are WRONG HARRY, still stand by the propaganda????

Our local republican loves percentages, hows 38% sitting with you?

SO HARRY, 38% certainty that 2014 was .01 degree c warmer than 2010? YOU BELIEVE THIS?

The fact that this area was covered in mile thick ice sheets at one point doesn't matter, it's gotta be capitalism that is causing it

They always gloss over the fact that surface temps have stopped rising 18 years ago, they claim the heat just up and went to the ocean for no explainable reason just got tired of warming land and said I'm outa here

Doesn't matter to them Greek, they beleive what they are fed. Look how they tout the 97% figure knowing it's misleading to put it nicely!

97% of respondents to a survey (ok that is hardly 97%of any kind of scientist)who listed climate science as their area of expertise (did anyone check their level of expertise)and who also have published more than 50% of their recent peer-reviewed (cronie approved)papers on the subject of climate change. . . think (can prove?)human activity (vague)is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures.(notice warming is not said)”

Stillhere

Since warming has ceased in the last 18 years, just how much could man be contributing?

Peer review? So the others agree that they need more funding? I am stunned

harryanderson

I agree. It's not true that 97% of all scientists agree AGW has catastrophic consequences.

But, as I said, 97% of respondents to a survey "who listed climate science as their area of expertise and who also have published more than 50% of their recent peer-reviewed papers on the subject of climate change. . . think human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures.”

And those scientists who specialize in climate change and whose articles have stood the test of peer review are the experts, in my opinion. You disagree, and I'm okay with that.
