Republican Obstructionism

There is less than a month until our nation's fiscal cliff is reached. While some would have us believe that reaching the fiscal cliff will be the end of the world, in reality, it will barely put a band-aid on our severed limb of debt and spending problems. The problems were not a result of a single presidency. The debt and current spending deficits are the result of decades of spending more money than is taken in by our federal government. It has been exacerbated by two recent wars and the worst economic recession in 70 years.

Who has a problem with minorities? Then and now.

The people from yesteryear may have belonged to the democrat party but if they were alive today I'd bet they'd be Republicans.

At least that is how they can be compared.

The Republicans of old are dead.

I had some relatives state to me that the south would rise again.

Yep it has. Obama brought the worms to the surface.

The Democrats of that time are Republicans in the present.

mythravere

There you go lol. Focusing on point that is an exception to the point I am trying to make.

Quite a few of the states that belonged to the CSA are Republican these days.

Well for starters look at the geographical locations of the pro-slavery folk from the past and look at those same locations today.

Who is the dominant party in those areas?

You gotta make the case that shows that it isn't the way.

The GOP wont do that.

Either you agree with them or you dont. And if you dont they are't going to explain anything to you because they dont have to.

The right cant do anything about it. No one will listen to drunken fools.

. taking this nation hostage = Obamacare !

Sign up or PAY UP . . .

I agree....now what?

One thing you are missing about the pro slavery "democrats" is that when it comes to their ideology they have more in common with today's Republicans.

mythravere

Sorry but the right is taking this nation hostage.

All because of ideology.

I tell you one thing the right sure does hate the government but they sure do flock to the power that surrounds it.

The right is acting like a bunch of little babies that didn't get their way.

You want that law out of there?

Get the voters. Elect the most representatives and make it happen.

In case you missed it they just chucked almost a million people out on their rear ends because of their ******* ideology.

Putting politics before people.

I know full well why limits were placed on government. But did the founding fathers foresee a country as large as ours along with the complexity of it?

I doubt it!

Not every single thing about this government is bad.

Mr Stutzman what about the big middle finger you lifted to federal workers?

Where is the respect for them?

mythravere

"We're not going to be disrespected," Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.) told The Washington Examiner. "We have to get something out of this. And I don't know what that even is."

Nice!

The GOP knew they were going to fail. So why did they have to put thousands of people out of job?

Posted 860 days ago.

mythravere

Fact:The right knew full well their approach and the manner in which they were executing it was a fools errand. With no chance of success.

Instead of trying something different they choose to bash their heads against the wall in hopes that the wall would give up the ghost.

Doing the same thing over and over that has resulted in failure each and every time while expecting success is pretty dang insane.

Well lets see. Conservatives have a choice.

Raise the debt ceiling. I will not mean the end of this country!

Or dont raise it and we default as a nation.

How will that be a good thing?

What do you think about the WW2 memorial thing.

Oh them ol righties want that monument open.

But **** the government workers who have rent etc to pay.

And the tea party is cheering this on like its an awesome thing to behold.

Goodness. Next year. I hope the right pays dearly for this.

mythravere

And what happens if the GOP drives this nation right off the debt ceiling cliff?

What if that triggers an economic collapse?

Posted 861 days ago.

mythravere

Why doesn't the high and mighty conservatives do a good job of convincing people their way is the better way?

If its the truth then it shouldn't be hard in getting that message out.

The problem is the right isn't interesting in getting that message out.

The only reason they are acting like they are is because their voters are threatening their jobs with the big bad government.

Highly lucrative being a congressman.

Do nothing and get paid for it. Get drunk at work and get paid for it.

Put 800,000 people out of work and get paid for it.
