Mary Alice (Haymond) Finley, 89, left her family and friends on Monday, June 2, 2014, after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of Harvey Kysor and Laura Zelma (McCullough) Haymond, born on Aug. 3, 1924, in Mole Hill (now Mountain, W.Va.).
Mary was the youngest of four children, Harvey Kysor Jr., John Reeves and Jack McCullough Haymond. She was the beloved and loving wife of John Edsel Finley (Pike, W.Va.) for 72 years. Together they built a life in Cleveland, Ohio, and enjoyed the accomplishments of their efforts which produced the satisfaction of a good life for them and a foundation for their three daughters, Carolyn (John) Milligan, Laura (Hal) Bloch and Margaret (Ray) Esposito, and who gave their parents five wonderful grandchildren, Lea (Irving) Tregerman, Eric (Jennie) Lombardo, Lauren (Cheray) Milligan, Ean (Angie) Esposito and Caitlan Esposito (Allen Morris), who in turn, added the joy of adoring great-grandparents with Lilee and Ava Lombardo and Logan Milligan.
Mary Finley's life centered around her family which overshadowed her extraordinary skill as an accomplished seamstress. She and John travelled and enjoyed a long and fulfilling retirement in Hobe Sound, Fla., before returning to Northern Ohio to be closer to family.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
