MARIETTA - Marietta Main Street is searching for local and regional artists to participate in the 2014 Merchants & Artists Walks.
This event brings together local merchants with local artists to make for a unique shopping experience in downtown Marietta and Harmar Village, Main Street officials said.
"The Merchants & Artists Walk is a great way for local artists to have a storefront for the evening and gain exposure. It's a great way to increase your sales, as well as gain a lot of exposure for your craft," said Jean G. Farmer, executive director of Marietta Main Street.

There are 40 open spots each year. If you would like to participate, applications are available on the website at www.mariettamainstreet.org, the Main Street Office at 132 Putnam St. or call 740-885-8194.
The Merchants and Artists Walk falls on the second Friday of the month, starting in May. Dates are as follows: May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8 and Nov. 7.
