FORT FRYE RECEIVES A+ GRANT
Fort Frye Local Schools, in partnership with Ohio Appalachian Collaborative Personalized Learning Network (OACPLN), received one of 24 state grants from the Ohio Department of Education Straight A Fund competition to support personalized learning and help more students be successful in technical, two- and/or four-year post-secondary education. Fort Frye Local Schools offers some dual enrollment options and online learning opportunities. This additional funding will help the district credential more teachers so that additional dual enrollment courses can be offered, and the district intends to collaborate with other districts in the consortium to offer specialized courses through distance learning. This funding will help the district address some infrastructure issues with technology that have limited our ability to offer more personalized online learning for our middle grades and high school students.
