PARKERSBURG - Pickering Associates has recently purchased BHG Surveying, the largest surveying company in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The addition of the surveyors means a more complete project delivery for clients, said Ryan Taylor, president of Pickering Associates.
"In much of our work, surveying is often the first step of the process," he said. "With the addition of the surveying group we're better able to serve our clients and see that their project is handled with seamless, streamlined and efficient communication."
BHG Surveying was established in 1999 and has extensive projects in West Virginia and Ohio. The professionals in the firm bring more than 60 years of combined experience and the wide client base to Pickering Associates.
The surveyors have worked on government, health care, industrial, private, construction and oil and gas projects.
"With the increasing business activity projected for the area, and the expectation of growth, now seemed like the perfect time to join forces with Pickering Associates," Bill Showalter, former owner of BHG Surveying, said. "We're excited to join the Pickering Associates team and offer our now mutual clients more resources."
With the addition of the surveyors, Pickering Associates is updating its logo. A new tagline will signal to the community and Pickering Associates' clients a more complete project delivery.
"Our new tagline accurately depicts how we've grown and our capabilities," said Traci Stotts, vice president of marketing and development at Pickering Associates. "It'd be impossible to list every single service we offer to our clients, so we decided to stick with the main disciplines of architecture, engineering and surveying."
Established in 1988, Pickering Associates was founded as an engineering firm that has developed into an integrated architecture, engineering and surveying company providing services to education, government, health care, industrial, oil and gas and private sector clients.
