Frances (Bundy) Rogers, 91, of Parkersburg, passed away Sept. 30, 2013, at the Sistersville Center in Sistersville, W.Va.
She was born Nov. 28, 1921 in Vienna, W.Va., the only child of the late S. Trenton and Sylvia C. Bundy.
She was a 1939 graduate of PHS and was employed as an operator for C&P Telephone exchange in Vienna. From 1942 until war's end, she was with the U.S. Government at Air Service Command, Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio. In 1949, she married Dr. John Dearman Rogers, who died in 1987. She was a member of various genealogical societies and had served many years as Registrar of James Wood DAR and the Edward Parrish Chapter and Capt. Robert Ellyson Chapter of COLONIAL DAMES XVIIC.
She is survived by two step-children, Ret. Lt. Col. John D. Rogers Jr. (Renee) of New Cumberland, Pa. and Kista R. Kershner (Paul) of Allentown, Pa.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, with Father Larry Jackson officiating.
