Edgar Charles Bills, 82, St. Marys, W.Va., passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center.
Born in Pleasants County, W.Va., he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Virginia Dye Bills.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and helped rebuild Germany after WWII. Edgar worked for 38 years at the former Quaker State refinery. He was a member and lay speaker at Calcutta United Methodist Church. He will be missed by family at the Bills Tuesday night card game.
He is survived by children, David (Tammy) Bills, Dann (Fred Lewis) Bills and Rita Jeanette Maynard; six grandchildren, Holly Bills (Darrin) Treadway, Aaron Bills, Joshua (Mellisa) Bills, Nevin (Ciara Sutton) Phillips, Allie and Tesla Maynard and Ysabella; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hope Douglas, Faith Treadway, Haley, Tanner and Aaden Bills and Audree Bills; two brothers, Beryl and Lester Bills; three sisters, Margaret Elder, Lucille Anderson and Charlotte Lamp; his brothers and sisters in the Elder Family; and his dog, "Petie". He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of almost 59 years, Carole Elder Bills; brother, Chester Bills; and sister, Shelva Jean Bills.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Pastor Mark Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in Calcutta Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
