With all the problems facing our country and the world today, standing on the street corner in small town America, holding a sign that says, "Pray to end abortion" may seem like a drop in the bucket. But every flood that destroys entire communities starts with a single drop of rain. The God of the Universe has promised mankind "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Fifty years ago, we took prayer out of schools and now Americans are sued everyday for the mention of God in the public square. Forty years ago women were given the right to murder their unborn children and 56 million Americans have been denied the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. A drive across Pike Street in south Parkersburg past Gospel Tabernacle Church should humble the hardest heart when you see the 3,228 crosses representing deaths of babies each and every day in America - one every 27 seconds! Over 2 billion worldwide and we wonder why our world is going to "hell in a handbasket?" One of God's first written rules was "Thou shall not kill."
On Oct. 6, Respect for Life Sunday, from 2 to 3 p.m. on Grand Central Avenue, join millions of Americans across this land in prayer in the National Life Chain. Starting Sept. 25 through Nov. 3, in 306 cities across the USA, thousands will dedicate 40 days of prayer to end abortion in this country, following the example of the Son of Almighty God who fasted and prayed for 40 days in the desert.
Please join me in front of West Virginia's only Planned Parenthood, on Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, and take a stand for life. If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything! Don't be fooled by PP claims of community service. Do your own research on America's largest abortion provider and wake up to their greater evil. The Bible warns us of wolves in sheeps clothing.
"Choose life that you and your descendants may live."
