Channing Thomas Duckworth, 68, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away July 28, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 1, 1945, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Carl and Lucy Dello Duckworth.
Channing was a graduate of PHS, had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and had retired from DuPont as an industrial mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
Surviving is his wife, Dicie Tingler Phillips Duckworth; one daughter, Tracy (John) Bunner of Florida; two stepsons, Jeremy L. (Cindy) Phillips of Minnesota and Jesse L. (Tonya) Phillips of Coolville; six step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Tonya Duckworth; an infant daughter, Christy Duckworth; and brothers, Marvin, Leslie and Dale Duckworth.
There will be a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mineral Wells, with Pastor Randy Kochersperger officiating. There will be no public visitation.
