Juanita M. White, 87, of Pennsboro, W.Va., departed this life July 6, 2013, at the Pine View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Harrisville, W.Va.
She was born Aug. 7, 1925, at Lynn Camp, W.Va., a daughter of the late Alva and Laura Jane McCloy Dodd.
Juanita was a member of Pennsboro Baptist Church. She had been a waitress and cook for Sara Jack's Restaurant for Zellie Jones, Midway Restaurant for Mildred Sheets and the Golden Gate Restaurant, and had worked at Myles Manufacturing Garment Co. She was a member of the Pennsboro Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Juanita is survived by a son, James White, Pennsboro, W.Va.; grandchildren, Tyler White, Pennsboro, W.Va., and Miranda Weidman, Portsmouth, Va.; step-grandchildren, Christa Harper and Jennifer Goff; great-grandchild, Justin; step-great-grandchildren, Garrett, Gabriella, Emma and Sara; and brother, Elmus Dodd, Belmont, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior White; daughter, Joann Leeson; brothers, Paul, Homer and Otis Dodd; sisters, Dorothy Leonard, Hazel Jones, Kathleen Smith and Lora Gail Richards; and daughter-in-law, Sue White.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at McCullough Funeral Home, Pennsboro, W.Va. Burial will follow in Mt. Harmony Masonic Cemetery, Pennsboro, W.Va. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. on the day of the service.
