Larry J. Beaver, 73, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on May 11, 2013, at his residence, after an extended illness.
He was a school teacher for 30 years, and worked at the south side Wal-Mart as a people greeter for 13 years.
He is survived by his very best friend, Katherine Ashby; one full sister, Rosetta Colvin; three half-sisters, Alice Hubbard, Renee Polaska and Sandra Williams; and three half-brothers, Gale Wilson, Dale Wilson and Paul Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Claudia Lucille Boley Beaver Wilson; stepfather, Gale Wilson Sr.; two full brothers, Bobby and Bernie Beaver; one half-brother, Arthur Wilson; and one full sister, Katherine Burba.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery on Grasslick Road in Jackson County. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
