Betty Lucille Ware, 85 of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away March 9, 2013, at The Willows.
She was born March 11, 1927, in Walker, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lawrence and Goldie Miller Hopkins.
She worked at the Parkersburg Tile Plant, at Hill's Department Store and also as a homemaker. Betty collected chickens, roosters and angel figurines. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by three sons, Warren D. Ware (Beverly), Randle "Randy" Ware (Jenny) and Melvin Ware (Cindy), all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a sister, Mildred McClung of Davisville, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Howard Ware in July 2011; and a brother, Donald Hopkins.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with Pastors Keith Hostutler and Bert Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Walker, W.Va. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
