William Kenneth McNeill, 94, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., formerly of Davisville, W.Va., passed away Feb. 18, 2013, in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
He was born April 11, 1918, in Mahone, W.Va., the son of the late William Kidd and Grace Moats McNeill.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of Grace Gospel Church and Masonic Lodge 114. He was a welder by trade and retired from Union Carbide after 28 years of service.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lois Kay Smith and her husband, Jim, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Karen Lyn Ross of Charleston, S.C.; one granddaughter, Kimberly Way McIntire of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Belva Goff of Harrisville, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Hazel Tustin McNeill; and his second wife, Lola Harrison McNeill.
The service will be noon Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Roger Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with full military rites by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Friday.
