Worked with Jake for a short while. He was a good kid and a hard worker. Very respectful and always smiling, so sorry for the family.

April....which is why I immediately apologized. This has just been a very difficult week and after I reread it I realized that. When things are in type they can be taken many different ways. I took it the wrong way at first, then realized he/she meant no harm.

My heart is with all three families, and especially the remaining siblings who not only lost two brothers, but two friends.

My heart hurts for this family...losing 1 child is the worst pain but to lose 2 children in this short of time has to feel like the end of the world!!! They need all the prayers and support our community can give them!!

Sorry....there are many who do drive recklessly, but it isn't just the kids. There are many adults who are worse, repeat drunk drivers, those who feel a text is more important than the car in front of them. You can't put all the blame on the kids. They gain experience by sitting in the seat and driving. That is how we learn. Some turn out to be better than others. I didn't mean to come across so heart is just broken. These kids I watched grow up...I was not related, but I was called mom. My heart is broken too.

Scrapeuse....who said anything about speed, inattention, or anything else about this mornings accident?! Brendon hit black could have happened to anyone driving this morning. Your comment is a slap in the face to this family. Shame on you for your insensitivity. You sound as bad as the news does. WTAP made it sound like Jake was alive and burned to death....that wasn't the case there either. Have a little respect. I'm sure you were young once and tested your driving limits...we all did at one time or another,so don't act so high and mighty. When did the world lose the ability to feel sorrow for others?

Praying for the family and friends of these boys who were both taken suddenly and way too soon. Both added to the long list of Wood County young people who have been killed by cars! When will this end MOV? How many more funerals will there be until kids BELIEVE that any combination of inexperience with speed, inattention and/or chemical abuse can be deadly?

I just wanted to say I am a close friend of the family and they have lost two of their sons in less than a week. Jake Cunningham died in a car accident Monday morning and his stepbrother Brendon Wigal died this morning. I've watched these boys grow up and they were both wonderful young men. My heart is broken for such my friends and for their losses. These kids were "our kids" too and the losses are very hard to wrap your head around. Please send your prayers, loving energy, meditations, etc. towards this family...they need it. Jimmy, Christa, and Family...we love you!
