A very good point made Gorilla. One would wonder that just maybe one of those 333,964 babies, would have grown up to be intelligent enough to solve this problem without infringing on our rights. And can you imagine, that was just one year of killing human beings. It is horrible what happened in that school, but there has to be a better solution. Bad guys will not turn in their guns!!!

So …. When is the letter to the Federal Government going out about a more dangerous item that kills more people every year than guns……? The Hammer! The highly educated and wealthy people of this country need to save the rest of us from this mean and dangerous looking item.

What will it take for people to understand that anyone who is intent on doing evil, will do so regardless of a sign posted on an entryway. Evil doesn't care about signs or laws. Evil will do harm simply because it can. Signs that are posted on doors that prohibited firearms are essentially advertisements for criminals and the mentally ill. They say, "Hey, nobody here can defend themselves. Come rob, rape, murder here!" Take away law-abiding citizen's rights to carry, then you're left with the people who don't care about laws with all the guns.

Joseph Bruno, hear me well. If you are concerned/paranoid about the safety of your students and faculty, have a 20 ft. high chain link fence with razor wire on top installed around the perimeter of your campus. Hire armed guards to strip search anyone who enters. Turn the campus into a fort if you want, that's your prerogative. But do not, and listen to me well, try to establish rules for the community as a whole that will infringe on our Second Amendment rights to own and bear any arms of our own choice. You, as a private citizen, have every right to voice your opinion concerning the gun issue, but when 300 college presidents gather together en masse to attempt to influence lawmakers to enact legislation that would infringe on our Second Amendment rights, it is tantamount to open conspiracy and treason.
