New Book Light for Readers

March 24, 2014 - Amy Phelps
Energizer will release in April a new reading light designed for book lovers! The Energizer LED Magnet Light is made with a magnetic clip to clip onto your shirt, so your hands are free to turn pages and you won't have to have anything heavy hanging off the book. My teenage daughter especially loved that aspect - that it didn't clip onto the book and make it hard to turn pages.

It's a small light, but it packs a powerful punch. It measures 3-by-1.25-by .75 inches and it is BRIGHT. It is as bright as any large flashlight, and it illuminated the pages easily for me, and maybe even part of the room! I had my kids try it out to see if it bothered anyone else in the room for late night reading sessions, and they reported that it wasn't too bad.

The Energizer LED Magnet Light is made from silcone to protect it from water and comes in green, blue and pink. It says it will run for up to 14 hours, and the batteries can be replaced. It notes that since the product contains a magnet, it could interfere with the operation of certain pacemakers and other medical devices, so be forewarned there. Book lovers who want to be able to read in low-light will love this. My dad is always looking for a flashlight, so I may get him one, since the magnetic closure can attach directly to metal surfaces.
