Cursed and Celtic Moon

October 15, 2013 - Amy Phelps
Here are a few quick reads that kick off new series and are perfect for Halloween.

S.J. Harper starts her Fallen Siren series with "Cursed" (Roc, $7.99.)

Emma is a Siren, the legendary creature cursed by the gods for failing to protect Persphone. She's trying to redeem herself, especially working for the FBI on missing persons cases. She is assigned a new partner who makes her heart drop - Zack, a werewolf whom Emma had a fling with on a case long ago. She really liked him, but the gods frown upon her liking anyone, and those that she is romantically linked to usually end up dead. As they grow closer working their case, are they putting both of their lives in danger?

Jan DeLima begins the Celtic Wolves series with "Celtic Moon" (Ace, $7.99.)

Sophie left the father of her child more than 15 years ago. But her son is undoing frightening changes and is turning out just like his father - a werewolf. And that means her ex may be the only person who can help him...

Dylan has never forgotten Sophie. But he has also been busy running Rhuddin Village and the clan that lives there. While there are fewer shapechangers left, they still fight against the Guardians, warriors that want Dylan's ancient tribe dead.

Little does Sophie know that by coming back to Dylan, she may have put not only her heart in danger again, but also her life.

Both are fun reads for those looking for a new series to try!
