Dream with Little Angels

A young teen begins to grow up and help his police officer mother solve a crime in "Dream with Little Angels" by Michael Hiebert.
Abe wasn't born when Ruby Mae went missing 12 years ago and then reappeared dead, but it has affected his life. His mother never forgave herself for not being able to solve the crime. Now Mary Ann, a classmate of Abe's older sister, Caroline, has went missing, and his mother and the town fear the events may happen again. As Caroline struggles against her mother's tightening rules, Abe and his friend look for murderers around them, especially their strange new neighbor. But when Mary Ann shows up dead and another young girl goes missing right after Abe talks to her, the town becomes entrenched with fear and Abe feels he needs to help. What did he witness?
A coming of age story mixed with a gritty mystery, readers will emphasise with Abe even as seeks to find justice for the dead girls.
