Kiki’s Corner: Opportunities and job changes

What job opportunities or changes would you like to make if you had a chance to do so? Of course it all depends on one’s abilities and age along with one’s interests. Young people are more aggressive, have the tendency to frequently change jobs or their goals in life and change does not bother them.
They seem to be more willing to try new and different things and grab without fear or hesitation. Older people seem to be more set in their ways or lack of motivation and energy, being more resistant to changes.
It is nice for teenagers to seek employment to help them understand the value of money and also to learn to be dependable and responsible along with how to interview, write a check and fill out an application along with dealing with the public.
Some states offer students part time employment while attending school coordinating both education and working habits.
Many reasons lead to changing jobs from monetary to likes and wants depending on each child’s preference.
Every job has both pros and cons which is also another reason for job changes thinking that the grass is greener on the other side. If they only knew and realized that the secret to success is being responsible and positive working attitudes and habits.
When I would do interviews for the businesses one of the questions I would ask is “where have they worked and how long at each position” ?
If you see that a person had frequently changed from one job to another it would raise a flag as to whether the person would be a good choice telling you that either he does not like the job, doesn’t follow the rules, misses work, undependable and always looking for another job.
Positions for adults are much different than for young people with a different set of questions such as their job experience and a positive resume.
Many adults are looking to expand their abilities and work for certain goals while others are seeking additional incomes, better retirement and others because they want to have health insurance and not sit around lonely and depressed.
Many industries especially welcome older and experienced workers offering positions that line up with their particular skills and interests.
Jobs that offer health care these days are highly in demand and many look for jobs that also offer insurance.
Some of the jobs that attract people are: sales, tutoring, freelance jobs, part time jobs, and many more.
Remember it is never too late to start a new adventure and set new goals in life.
Till next week.
