Upcoming events to make businesses stronger

It is our goal at the Mid-Ohio Valley Chamber to offer programming to make our business community as vibrant and strong as possible, an important goal now more than ever. Below is a sampling of upcoming events that we hope you will take advantage of during the month of July.

Lunch and Learn Hosted by Riverside Payments

* Thursday, July 9

* 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

* Location to be set by June 29

* Topic: Merchant Services 101 for Businesses

Join Rachel Kirk with Riverside Payments to discuss a general overview of the credit card processing industry, how rates are set and offered to businesses, how to read statements and determine what percentage you’re actually paying, and what to look out for when choosing a provider. You can also bring your current statement with you and Rachel would be happy to provide a rate review!

Lunch is provided courtesy of Riverside Payments. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Friendly reminder — due to space constraints and the popularity of our Lunch and Learns, attendance is limited to no more than two attendees per membership for this event.

Preregistration link available on the calendar at movchamber.org

We will also be offering this session virtually. If you would like to attend, please email us at info@movchamber.org and we will send you the Zoom link.

We will be practicing social distancing within the space. We will have you fill out a short COVID-19 questionnaire the day prior to the event. We will sanitize the space before arrival and will also provide hand sanitizer and masks for all attendees.

Virtual Webinar presented by One Nine Design

* Tuesday, July 14

* noon to 1 p.m.

* Topic: Stand out among the inboxes!

Email is still one of the most effective marketing tools for many businesses and nonprofits, but are you using your email platform to its fullest potential? In this webinar, Andrea Shirey will break down the critical features you should be using in any platform and show you how to create email campaigns that compel people to open them up and then take action.

Andrea will also cover:

* Types of subject lines and preview text that get the best open rates

* How to write a great call-to-action and use it effectively

* How to segment and personalize emails for better results

* How to measure if your emails are working (and adjust, if not)

* What you can still do, even if you don’t have an email platform set up

Just sending emails to your people is no longer enough. This webinar will help you make your emails more effective and finally stand out among the inboxes.

Open to all MOV Chamber Members. Please register if you are planning on attending. You will be sent the link information to attend the meeting via email once you register.
