A week of giving back

We are in the middle of this festive holiday season, and it’s during this time that we all take pause and reflect on our blessings. At Downtown PKB we are blessed in so many ways. We have a wonderful board who volunteers their time and helps to guide us in the decisions we make. We have supportive sponsors who give financially to help us put on successful events and wonderful funders and Partners that contribute to help with our projects and program. We have awesome businesses who help us carry out our mission to draw people to downtown. And, we have an engaging community who love to participate in our events and enjoy spending time at our downtown businesses. It’s because of all of these blessings that we want to show our appreciation.

During the week of December 8th Downtown PKB will be giving back to our loyal Facebook followers with our “Give Back to PKB” promotion. Each day of this week we will post a question on our Facebook page (downtownpkb) centered around downtown. Answer that day’s question in the comments and be entered into a chance to win a $10 gift card to one of our downtown restaurants. There will be a different question each day and you are eligible to participate each day, but please only one response per day. Winners will be announced the week of December 15 and can come to the Downtown PKB office to claim their prize. The community’s input is important to us and will help give us insight into what you like, know and want to see developed in downtown Parkersburg. Participants are asked to like our Facebook page, choose an answer from the options given and we ask for positive feedback.

We’d like to thank all of our funders, sponsors, members of our Partner Program, board members and volunteers for another wonderful year and we’d like to thank you in advance for participating and giving us feedback as we plan for 2020.

Downtown PKB, a Main Street Community, is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization created to promote downtown Parkersburg, foster economic opportunity and create community vitality. The goal is to create a vibrant commercial district that will provide downtown businesses, workers and nearby residents with the goods and services they need, as well as create educational, entertainment and tourism opportunities.
