October activities at the Beverly Public Library

The Beverly Public Library has several activities for all ages scheduled for this week.

Story Time for children ages 2-6 is scheduled for both Tuesday, October 8, at 6 p.m. and Wednesday, October 9, at 11 a.m. A participating adult must accompany the preschool children to story time. This activity can include games, music, crafts, and activities, and will also include, as always, great books. Snacks are being provided by Muskingum Valley Rehabilitation. The same stories and activities will be presented at both story times.

Anime Wednesday will be held this Wednesday, October 9, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. There will be a showing of a few episodes of selected Anime. Most showings will be in Japanese with English subtitles. Show ratings will vary. Check with the library for more information. This program is for teens.

Games Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, from 3:30- 4:30 p.m. Participants can choose from games such as Harry Potter Trivia or Stop the Grinch, and games may also include virtual reality games. This program is geared toward elementary children.

This Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12, the Beverly Lions is holding a Flea Market and Vendor show inside the Beverly United Methodist Church at 700 Park Street in Beverly, OH. Numerous vendors will have craft items for sale and food will also be available. Friday’s hours are from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday the show will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Also on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is sponsoring their Beverly Fall Bazaar in Dodge Park, located at 4 Mitchell Avenue in Beverly. Admission is free, and the event features the best in local food, artisans, and vendors. Beverly-Center Elementary P.T.O. is holding a Pampered Chef Bingo Sunday, November 3 at Beverly-Center Elementary School in Beverly. Doors open at 12 noon and games begin at 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 with their ‘Early Bird Special’. These will be available from students, PTO members, at the school office, or by contacting Megan Lockhart via call or text at 740-350-6355. Tickets at the door will be $25. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to play.

Twenty games will be played, and all game winners will leave with a Pampered Chef product. There will also be Early Bird and second chance prizes as well as a 50/50 drawing. Local vendors will be on display and concessions will be available. Additional cards and daubers will also be sold. All fundraiser proceeds benefit the Beverly-Center Elementary School PTO.
