HALLOWEEN IN THE PARK
This Saturday, October 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Beverly Library will be taking over Dodge Park for a spooky good time. Festivities at ‘Storybook Park’ will include pumpkin painting, live entertainment, face painting, peie eating and pie baking contests, storybook reading, games, and much more! In addition, the first 200 visitors to the park will receive a bag of crafts and coloring sheets. The bag will also contain five $1 tickets to use at the food vendors located in the park.
A special live performance by Mad Scientist of Northeast Ohio will be held at noon. Cirque du Papier, an origami specialist, will be available to entertain party-goers. Face painting will be provided by Pleasing Palettes. The Beverly-Center PTO will work with pumpkin painting while the Beverly Leos will be making slime. Two special contests — pie eating and pie baking — are also planned. Rules for these contests are available at the library. Games will be set up as well and be sure to look for the library staff ‘holding court’ over three different reading stations. As a special ‘treat’, a scavenger hunt will be held with the final prize being a Halloween box. Finally, a photo booth will be available.
