Safety Town sign-up
Attention parents of children who will be registering for kindergarten in the fall of 2019 at either Fort Frye of Wolf Creek School Districts! It’s time to consider signing up for this summer’s Safety Town program. Safety Town offers a comprehensive program of safety training for each child who will be entering school this fall. The Beverly Lions Club sponsors Safety Town each year in cooperation with Wolf Creek and Fort Frye Schools, area fire, police, water, natural resources organizations, and other groups that give of their time and talents to make this program work.
Currently, Safety Town is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, July 7 from 9 a.m. to noon daily. All sessions will be held rain or shine in the multi-purpose room at Beverly-Center Elementary School. Students will receive a Safety Town t-shirt the first day and should wear it each day, along with socks and tennis shoes. Reminder post cards will be sent out the week before Safety Town begins with firm dates, but please mark your calendars now.
Safety Town activities will include identity training, automobile safety, home safety, water safety, farm safety, and community friends.
Registration forms should be available when you and your child attend kindergarten screening at Fort Frye or Wolf Creek schools. Completed enrollment forms should be returned to your child’s school by Wednesday, May 1.
