Boat Ride & Trivia Contest time

It’s that time of year again for the MOV Chamber Boat Ride & Trivia Contest! This year’s event will be held on Friday, July 14, from 6-8 p.m. on the Valley Gem Sternwheeler.

Tickets are $35 per person and on sale now through July 7 at www.movchamber.org. Children ages 12-17 are $15 each while children under 12 are free to attend. Your ticket includes a delicious burrito bar catered by Qdoba Mexican Grill, free non-alcoholic beverages, and a trivia team of four to six people. There will be a cash bar available.

For those who like to enjoy some friendly competition, we’ve also incorporated a trivia contest as part of our river adventure. This will classify as another MOV Chamber Challenge Cup activity that can help you gain points for your team. So, bring your smart and funny co-workers to increase your chances of winning.

Attendees can board the boat between 5:30-5:59 p.m. We will depart from Point Park in Parkersburg at 6 p.m. sharp for a two-hour tour of fun, food, great scenic views, adult beverages and ornery fellowship. The boat will return at 8 p.m.

This event is open to more than Chamber members. Friends, family, co-workers and members of other organizations are certainly welcome aboard.

This boat ride is made possible thanks to some great partnering organizations. We would like to thank our sponsor, the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Marietta. They will be giving away some great door prizes, including a gift certificate for a free night’s stay and tickets to local Marietta attractions.

The Parkersburg Area Jaycees will also be onboard offering a chance to win two WVU football season passes. Tickets are $20 each or three for $50. The net proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Parkersburg. If you haven’t yet seen a Jaycees member to get your entry in, this will be the perfect opportunity.

Pre-registration is required and no refunds will be given after Friday, July 7. Visit www.movchamber.org to register. Credit cards are accepted online as well.
