Letter to the Editor: Looking to place blame

Once again people who believe God is sovereign and in control of the climate are under attack. I believe God is in charge, and controls the environment as He sees fit. Climate Change advocates are those who cannot believe that God is sovereign and is controlling the Earth because their entire philosophy about everything is colored by what they think about God. The same can be said about me.
So, if they do not believe in God, and therefore do not think he exists and can exert his will on the Earth, then they have no choice but to blame us for the perceived problems with climate. Climate Change is contrived and is a device to control people and make money for some. They claim we are “willfully ignorant.”
Christians who trust God know what is happening in the world. We are not lacking knowledge and are not stupid. We are not oblivious to weather conditions, about the hurricanes and such that are prevalent from time to time. But climate has changed over time on many occasions, and there is nothing the average person can do about it. No matter what we do about the use of coal in power plants, if China and India do not cooperate, then it does not matter. We share the same atmosphere. I believe the natural resources we use for energy were put here by God for our use. Without coal, oil, and natural gas, our electrical grid will fail as solar, wind, and pixie dust cannot keep up with our growing energy needs.
It appears the climate group, at least those who write letters frequently, is always looking for someone to blame for the perceived problems of the Earth. If they cannot acknowledge God exists, we must be the problem. If we do not agree with their dogma, then we must be ignorant or probably stupid.
I do not believe climate activists are ignorant, stupid, or anything of the kind. I just do not believe as they do. Am I not accorded that privilege?
