A few months ago there was a letter to the Parkersburg newspaper stating that Mitch McConnell changed the rules by appointing Supreme Court justices. The writer must be thinking about Judge Garland not being appointed to the Supreme Court. They choose who bets qualifies for the job, I always thought whoever the president is, Democrats or Republicans. It happened to be President Donald Trump, so he got a chance to appoint three of them. But what a circus it was!

When President Obama occupied the White House he appointed two of them: Elana Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, and now President Joe Biden already appointed one on the Supreme Court — Ketanji Brown Jackson. Who knows in the next two years there could be other nominees, so let’s hope and pray that the year 2023 will be a better year for all of us.

All of you out there, don’t forget to go out and vote.
