Right to disagree

I believe climate change is a contrived problem, and a belief in that philosophy can be at least a partial failure to trust in God. That does not mean I think all climate change activists are atheists. But, as proclaimed in the paper from time to time, some clearly admit it. That is their right to believe that way and my right to believe otherwise.

I do think we should do all we can to protect the earth, within reason. Not trashing the environment is a good thing. I personally reclaim wood from lawn tractor crates headed for the landfill to make various craft items. I have stopped hundreds and hundreds of pieces of wood from filling up our landfills.

Eliminating all the coal-fired power plants is a ridiculous plan. While I would absolutely love it if solar and wind power took care of all of our energy needs, it is simply not feasible.

I have no problem with others having a different opinion, but I am entitled to still have mine. That option is what makes America different from most other countries. I do not believe climate activists and environmentalists are the same thing. However, God is still in charge. It is Father God, not mother nature.

As for shutting down coal-fired power plants, some of those plants that are closed sell their machinery to China, who is building coal-fired plants at a phenomenal pace. So, if American coal-fired plants are shut down, but China keeps building them with our old machinery, how does that help the so-called climate crisis? We all share the same atmosphere.

Religious people can be climate activists. It is my right to disagree with how they interpret the climate situation.

I do agree with the lady who wrote for the climate corner a week or so ago writing about eliminating plastic straws. I agree this is a type of pollution that can be reduced. What first needs to be done are the restaurants to quit giving them out automatically. I do not need a straw to drink a soft drink, unless I am driving.

I will still trust in God, no matter how many like to misconstrue what I write or believe. I respect the right of climate change activists and environmentalists to express their opinions. I just do not have to agree with all of their arguments.
