Bipartisanship?

Joe. These measures (bills) are about ending campaign finance corruption and political self-aggrandizement in a way that is fundamental to preserving our democracy, along with preserving access to the franchise, which is central to our democracy. Maybe there will be choices ahead, but we need to be very careful about the sacrifices that could be made if we rethink too radically what For the People contains.

Senator Blumenthal is right. It’s not what goes around comes around. So, you’re suggesting what happened years ago allegedly by the democrats to pass legislation isn’t a means to help the voters here in West Virginia and across the nation to prevent voter suppression and get the economy going with the infrastructure bill?

If that’s your philosophy then you need to review Mitch McConnell abuse of the filibuster (which he is using now) just to show his arrogance and the ego trips he is on and, controlling what’s goes on in the Senate. Just like he did with bipartisan legislation from the House.

Why would you allow McConnell to block Joe Biden’s agenda knowing what Trump and McConnell allowed to happen with COVID-19? The highest unemployment in our history, over 600,000 people dead because of the incompetent Trump. What the democrats have done was without help from the republicans and our economy is starting to turn, people are feeling safe due to what President Biden and Kamala Harris have done in getting the virus under control. If Trump was still president (praise the voters, he isn’t) millions more would have perished because of a partisan Senate, House and a corrupt Justice Department under Trump.

Yeah, you’re right what goes around comes around? You better think long and hard about that comment? If you continue to play power games and we lose the majority in 2022 it’s all on you Joe.

Did you question Capito how on earth she could vote against establishing a bipartisan investigation of the insurrection that killed five people while wounding 150 others many dealing with PTSD? She owed that to the mother, wives, children and families of the victims of Trumps violence and hate based upon The Big Lie.

Coming out in the Charleston Gazette with your letter appears to me you’re getting heat from the voters here to start working with our democrats and protect the right to vote.

As President Biden stated it’s time for the republicans to show bipartisanship and get these bills passed and help America to rid itself of the corruption of the Trump family, the stacking of our Supreme Court and the Jim Crow laws being raised from the dead.

I’m upset with you Joe. Senator Byrd would do what’s right for the American people. Not be on a power trip for notoriety to be on Fox, the lowest form of news reporting you can have. Maybe you should go on Rachael Maddow or Lawrence McDonnell. They would ask you the tough questions and set the facts straight, unlike Fox no-news propaganda.
