A true leader

Watching television on Sunday, April 5, I caught the Queen of England’s very personal address to her people concerning the coronavirus. I was genuinely impressed. A quiet, soft spoken leader reaching out to encourage her nation in a time of world wide concern for the health of everyone.

I didn’t detect a single lie in her address.

There was no bombastic rhetoric. No disgusting campaign promises. There were no stooges standing behind her lending emotional support to the speaker. No wild gestures to impress the viewers. And not once did she congratulate herself for some completely imaginary accomplishments.

How refreshing.
