Long Tom will be missed

I want Karen Ashbury and others to know how I feel about “Long Tom” being moved from City Park.

My husband’s great-grandfather built the cabin, so it’s a part of many people’s lives, but Long Tom was special. We could climb and wonder about all it had done.

I like Fort Boreman. We had Sunday School picnics there. But City Park had more young people. If Long Tom had a voice, he would beg to stay where he is. City Park has been so handy and visited by many.

I may not see Long Tom again. I’m 95 years old and live in an assisted living home.

You’ll always be part of my life, Long Tom.
