A nation dying by the sword
When Dick’s Sporting Goods revealed that a 17-year-old shooter in the Parkland, Fla., mass shooting purchased his gun at one of its stores, they experimented with ending firearm sales. They announced on Thursday that sales rose 3.2 percent the second quarter.
NASCAR is no longer accepting gun sale ads. Do I see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel?
This comes from the secular part of our society, and I would ask, “where is the religious part?”
They should be at the forefront of this, as they have been reading the account of Jesus in the garden for years.
The writer of Matthew said that when they were coming to arrest Jesus, one of his home boys took out his sword to protect his master, but Jesus said, “put it away; if one lives by the sword they will die by the sword.”
Fast forward two thousand years and here we are living by the gun and dying by the gun!
