Getting tired of the lies

Our country is poised on the edge of the greatest use of natural, albeit, fossil fuels, and we can’t develop these to our benefit. Their use could provide some relief from the exorbitant costs we are beginning to experience. Fuel cost for our vehicles has constantly increased and shows no sign of declining. Fuel suppliers take note, blaming it on taxes, (approximately 54 cents per gallon), does not justify your $3.92 per gallon

On the issue of our electrical grid and its source, we need to be realistic in its growth in the future. Definitely develop solar, tidal, wind, and nuclear sources, for the future. Do not squelch coal-fired power plants, with no replacements when it’s removed. In the winter of 2013-2014 it has been reported we were one power plant away from either rolling or entire blackout. We can’t allow that to happen in the greatest country in the world. Should the electrical grid in our country be protected from an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack? It should be, just think if you had no electricity. Not just no electricity for three-four days, try six to nine-plus months.

Iraq and Afghanistan have cost many of our most valuable assets with no real sign of any benefit. Now our government has made a deal to trade five imprisoned antagonists for one of our citizens, who is purported to be a deserter. Are we to trust the country they were released to? I personally do not think they will be treated as the murderous persons they are.

The treatment of our veterans seeking medical attention at the VA hospitals is deplorable. My Dad told me recently, “the VA was where you went to die, but they are taking care of me, and I trust them.” That was treatment he received at the Clarksburg VA Hospital, and I thank them for that. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the norm.

The IRS targeting conservative groups does not represent the ideals of their duty in our government. Someone should go to jail for these offenses.

Benghazi, Libya, is an issue that should never have left four of our citizens dead. It was not properly defensible and backup should have – and could have – been provided. No one has been apprehended or been charged for that most heinous attack.

We have consistently been lied to and I for one am tired of it. Do what you can and get out to vote, informed with the best information you can.
