Clyde Edwin Casto

Clyde Edwin Casto, 89, of Parkersburg passed away May 15, 2025.

He was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late Ernest O. and Mary Ayers Casto.

Clyde was retired from Hale Plumbing where he worked for many years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, nature and spending time with his family. He was a very active member of the Ft. Boreman House of Prayer where he served as a Deacon.

Clyde will be deeply missed by his sons, Jeffrey Casto of Cincinnati and Douglas (Christina) Casto Sr. of Walker, WV. His grandchildren, Douglas (Kelly) Casto Jr., Andrew Casto and Rachel (Eric) Miller; His great grandchildren, Emma Casto, Douglas Casto III, Rose Casto and Rowan Miller; His brothers Jack (Jeanie) Casto, Laken (Donna) Casto, Donald (Sharon) Casto, Gary (Janet) Casto, Terry (Debbie) Casto; His sister, Ada Mele; His half sister, Wilma Anderson and several nieces and nephews and a sister in law, Sharon Foggin Wells.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Betty Foggin Casto; his brothers, Robert Casto, Ray Casto, David Casto; His sisters, Charlene Burkes, Pauline Townsend and Dorothy Casto. He was also preceded by his brothers in law, Charles Townsend, Tony Mele, Michael Wells and Gary Foggin and sisters in law, Barbara Casto, Sue Jacquay, Mary Casto and Judy Foggin.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastors Dennis Bennett and Denzil Ray officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
