Anna Faye Harper

Anna Faye Harper, 86, of Nutter Farm Community, Cairo, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior at Encompass Hospital-Parkersburg on April 15, 2025. She was born near Petroleum, WV, on December 10, 1938, the daughter of the late Buell and Geraldine Wetter Moss. Anna Faye was proud to be the salutatorian of the 1956 graduating class of Cairo High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Fay Harper, and they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in February.

Anna Faye was the loving mother of Kathleen White (William), St. Marys, WV, Beverly Severns (Bert), Hartwell, GA, Ronald Harper (Teresa), Ellenboro, WV, and Lisa Harper (Malcolm), Lavonia, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda White, Ryan Bunner, Tyler Bunner, Derek Bunner, Valerie Hutson, Kristin Mayhew, Morgan Gatrell, Megan Hinzman, Aaron Hinzman, and Zane Hinzman. She was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings, Bennie Moss, Elizabeth Criss, and Robert Moss.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, William White, and her siblings, Rex Moss, Doris Tennant, Nettie Tennant, and Gene Moss.

Anna Faye was known for her wonderful cooking skills, her exquisite handmade quilts, and her beautiful crocheted tablecloths. She had a green thumb and loved flowers of every kind. She also loved to travel. She and Fay spent 15 winters in the Florida Keys and were baptized in the Gulf of Mexico, a very memorable event for them both. She was a member of the Harrisville Baptist Church and loved her years as a member of the Nutter Farm Women’s Club.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the ladies who took such wonderful care of Anna Faye over the last 3 years, and to Amedisys Home Health for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, WV, on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2pm. A graveside service will be immediately following the funeral service at Terry Cemetery on Glendale Road. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11am until the hour of service.
