Hazel Lee Lott

Hazel Lee Lott, 88, of Belpre, passed away March 19, 2025, at her residence.

She was born April 21, 1936, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Ottive Elizabeth Morrison Mayhugh.

Hazel had worked over 40 years for Belpre City Schools in custodial care and also the cafeteria serving food. She was a longtime member of Spreading Truth Ministries in Parkersburg. Hazel enjoyed listening to gospel music. She loved church and worshiping her Lord. Hazel was a patriot and would display the flag all year long. She loved her Dachshund’s and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, David Lott (Kathryn) of Belpre, Ottive “Tiss” Starcher (Bob) of Belpre, Laura “Baby” Lott of Belpre, Joseph Lott (Beth) of FL and Belinda “Phoebe” Wolfe (Mike) of Parkersburg; nephew Robert Mayhugh (Minnie); 11grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Leonard Lott; son Robert L. Lott Jr.; grandson Samuel “Robby” Lott; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful care and kindness.

Funeral services will be 1pm Monday March 24, 2025, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Pastor Ralph Tisdale and Bishop Joe Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Lubeck Cemetery.
