Larry Daggett

Larry Daggett, 74, of Elizabeth, WV, passed at home ultimately from a broken heart and worn out body following the murder of his son Scott.

He worked hard and also played hard. He retired early from G.E as a shift mechanic and truly enjoyed the work, especially the friendships he made there. He took that time to travel the country on his motorcycles and 4×4’s camping solo and also with family, especially ones with his mother and daughter. He had the best sense of humor and could tell a heck of a story.

He took great pride in building his cabin from trees he’d cut himself on the old family farm. He had many friendships and cherished them greatly.

He loved dogs, kids, music and nature.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle brother, Doug (Carla) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his beloved dog, Willie Nelson.

Preceded by his parents, son, Scott Daggett, brothers, Allen and Steve.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the celebration from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
