Michael Ross Chipps

Michael Ross Chipps, 76, of Parkersburg, passed away on December 2, 2024, at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1948, in Cowen, WV, a son of the late Clarence and Nellie Smith Chipps.

Michael served our country honorably in the United States Air Force as an SGT and scuba diver. He loved the Lord and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to gospel sings, and travelling.

He leaves behind his children, Michelle Ingram (Billy) and Scott Chipps (Sasha); a sister, Catherine Chapman; nine grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and special friends, Dave, Sharon, and Robin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances K. Chipps, and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
